To make it sound like a cam: reduce idle air flow. lower target idle speed. play with the timing until you get the sound you like. The 5.3 won't have any kind of lope in the idle at all with the LS6 cam. You would pick up 25-35 hp with the LS6 cam, but you'll pay for it in your torque #'s.
